Site 3
Site 3 is a public council library set in a rural coastal town on the mid-north coast of NSW. It caters for a population of 70 000 and is at the moment, in a growth period. A new director has been appointed last year, and there are considerable council works being planned, to commence in the following year. The library is reasonably well staffed with 10 full time workers and numerous volunteers, and is based across 3 centres. The management and facilities are shared by the Museum and the Art Gallery, It is a vibrant centre and frequently hosts authors, ICT instructional tutorials, toddlers' reading sessions, and pensioners' knitting gatherings amongst other community outreach occasions.
