This site is a public co-educational secondary school library catering to students from Years 7 to 12 in a coastal New South Wales township. On the Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage, Site 2 sits well below the national average. There are 383 enrolments, twenty five percent of whom identify as indigenous, and a further six percent have English as a second language. There are 43 full time equivalent teaching staff, one of whom is the teacher-librarian. There are 11.4 full-time equivalent non-teaching staff, one of whom is the library assistant. The core values of the school centre on academic performance, social development and student welfare. The primary vision statement in the school’s policy is ‘whatever it takes’ for student success and the school motto is ‘creating tomorrow’.
